Staff FAQs: Pausing the Student Experience Programme

02 Apr 2020

As you may be aware, the Student Experience Programme Board have recommended that the majority of the programme be paused with immediate effect. This pause will allow colleagues to focus on core business activities, which are the University’s priority during this uncertain period.

In summary this means:

  • There will be no structural changes to the organisation for the start of the 2020/21 academic year.
  • The Voluntary Severance Scheme for eligible Cohort 1 colleagues will remain open as planned, with applications considered on an individual basis.
  • Release of the new functionality designed and built in Campus Solutions 9.2 as part of the SEP ‘Applicant release’. These new processes will not go live for the 2020/21 admissions cycle.
  • Engagement sessions and other activities relating to Cohort 2 Themes will be paused.

We’ve now published an initial set of FAQs, which answers some immediate questions about the pausing of this programme.

The FAQs cover topics including the programme timeline and activities; cohort 1 people and structures, the consultation process and voluntary severance scheme; work within the programme team and the technology and process side of the programme; and wider engagement with the programme.

We will update these FAQs over time as we know more – we expect the first update by the end of next week (10 April).
