Voting is now open for the Social Justice Photography Competition

Undergraduate students were invited to take part in the competition by submitting a photo and caption about an issue of social justice that is important to them

The competition is part of the University’s Ethical Grand Challenges programme, which aims to produce socially responsible graduates. Through a range of online challenges, students cover a range of topics from homelessness and mental health, through to higher education and trade.

The top five photographs, which have been shortlisted by a panel of judges, will be exhibited throughout this week from 1 April to 5 April at both University Place and the Renold Building.

The Grand Prize of £400 was awarded last year to Julia Stankiewicz from the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering for her photo ‘Invisible’ (shown above).
