Chairing Meetings That Deliver Results 

The aim of this workshop is to help participants to extend and develop the skills and knowledge they have to chair and contribute to meetings confidently and effectively. It is suitable for PSS/Academic/Research colleagues.

Trans*fer – A Journey

This half day session equips you to be more ‘trans aware’ at the University in a safe, non-judgemental  environment and assumes no previous knowledge.  There are many different barriers that trans people face which are not encountered by other members of staff and students.  Working with the facilitator, in small groups and on your own you will understand how history, society and the media has impacted on the trans community.  You’ll also understand acceptable terminology, language and how to be a supportive colleague, manager or academic tutor.

The next sessions are 12 October; either 9.30am-12.30pm, or 1pm-4pm, book a place.
