Launch of campaign against harassment, hate crime and sexual violence on Monday, 1 October - action from Staff Survey 2017

Speak Up Stand Up

Our Speak Up! Stand Up! Campaign – a collaboration between the University and the Students Union – launches on Monday, 1 October.

Staff and students will be able to find out how they can take action against harassment, hate crime and sexual violence.

The campaign aims to empower, educate and build confidence in students and staff to safely take action against all forms of harassment, hate crime and sexual violence, both online and in person. 

The campaign, which has been co-produced with our Diversity and Inclusion Student Ambassadors, includes:

  • Speak Up Stand Up! A campus wide communications campaign
  • Be the Change.  A series of active bystander educational resources
  • Diversity Champions. Outreach activity with young people in Manchester
  • An exhibition exploring experiences of harassment and hate crime
