Local foodbank urgently needs help

21 Sep 2018

Due to the extreme weather on 20 September, Emmeline’s basement building was flooded

Emmeline’s Pantry is a local foodbank for vulnerable women and their families. The flooding couldn’t come at a worse time as this is a key period of fundraising for their Christmas campaign.

They managed to rescue stock and they will be making sure all their families are cared for. However, due to the number of women and families they are supporting, Emmeline’s is continually reliant on donations.

A number of staff across campus are drop off points for donations. If you are able to donate from any of the list of items needed you can drop them off at the following points on campus.  They always need food items like tea, coffee and tinned foods but at this time of year they also hope people can go the extra mile and buy /donate toiletry gift sets and new pyjama sets to be able to give something to the mums and their families.

Over 26 other charities refer those in need to Emmeline’s Pantry, so all donations are gratefully received.
