Rutherford ‘SWISH’ event on Wednesday, 28 November

05 Sep 2018

On Wednesday, 28 November from 12.30pm -1.30pm we’ll be running our next SWISH event

Bring your unwanted clothes and swap with others! Admission £2 if you bring items, £3 if you do not, proceeds to Cornerstone Day Centre.

All clothing welcome! We have two themes for this SWISH – children’s prom clothes and winter warmers.

Leftover clothes that are not swished will go to Cornerstone, who support homeless and vulnerable adults in our community.

All children’s prom clothes will go to 2nd Handmade Shop, which is a pre-loved shop run by sixth form students at North Ridge High School. They are collecting prom clothes which they will loan out at a small cost to families of pupils who can’t afford to buy a prom dress or suit.

Each SWISH event promotes reusing, recycling and upcycling; encouraging colleagues to bring and swap items to update their seasonal wardrobes.

This will take place in the Rutherford Building, in the Rutherford room – please do share with colleagues, and any donations can be sent to 1.057, the Rutherford Building. Thank you in advance!

We also have a Facebook group so please join receive updates.

If you have any suggestions for future themes, please do also get in touch with us:
