Temporary access change to Vasaio cafe entrance, Simon Building

23 Feb 2018

Ongoing Brunswick Park works mean that some temporary changes are necessary to the access to the Simon Building/Vasaio café entrance from Oxford Road

This will mean the temporary closure of the footpath leading to the steps on the metal ramp. Work will be carried out over the weekend of 24 and 25 February, and will be in place from Monday 26 February for around 3 weeks.

The accessible route and disabled access to the ramp will be maintained at all times. Appropriate temporary signage to direct staff and students to the café entrance off Oxford Road will be installed by the contractor.

The footpath which runs diagonally from the traffic lights on the corner of Dover Street to the Simon Building will remain in use.

Cyclists are requested not to lock their bikes to the ramp railings, to ensure that access is not restricted in the event of an emergency.

We thank you for your continuing patience and co-operation as we work towards completing the transformation of Brunswick Park.  The creation of a new parkland at the heart of our campus is a key element of our Campus Masterplan.
