University named in Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list

01 Dec 2017

The University has reached Number 30 on this year’s Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list

Top 50 UK Employers List ranking

The league table of the most inclusive employers shines a light on best practice across all strands of diversity including age, disability, gender, LGBT, race, faith & religion.

Compiled by a dedicated panel of judges, the list has been collated based on each organisation's performance in a range of areas within the diversity arena.

Organisations featured provided sufficient evidence on an amalgamation of topics including recruitment procedures, training and a host of diversity related initiatives.

The list recognises organisations who are brave and innovative, and see diversity and inclusion as a smart way to grow their business.

Patrick Johnson, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, said: "I am delighted that we have been recognised as one of the UK’s top 50 inclusive employers.

"This endorsement will encourage us to continue working hard to ensure that The University of Manchester creates a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone."
