Original message (10:30am, Tuesday 26 September)

This is affecting services such as My Manchester, Blackboard, Support Centre Online and has resulted in some staff and student IT logins taking an excessive amount of time, or a loss of access to services completely.

Currently, there is no known time to fix but we’re treating this with the highest priority and will update you as soon as we have any more information.

If students need access to their timetable and are unable to log in at all, they can contact their school support office for information:

IT Services

Update 1: (12:30pm, Tuesday 26 September)

We're making an emergency change to the login service which means that you may have to log in again.

Update 2: (2:50pm, Tuesday 26 September)

For approximately 2 hours this morning, there were performance issues with the IT login service.

This caused long delays for many people attempting to access systems such as My Manchester, Blackboard, Support Centre Online, Campus Solutions Student System and more.

As of approximately 12.20pm, performance started to improve, and now appears to be functioning as expected.

We’ve identified a number of actions we can carry out to improve performance and reliability further, and we’re implementing some of them this afternoon.

We continue to monitor the situation closely.
