Advice for staff on safety and security on campus

Our University will come together to offer support during this difficult time to our staff, students and others in the wider Manchester community.  We will endeavour to carry on business as usual including planned events and exams. 

Rail and tram services to and from Manchester Victoria station have now resumed, with services running as usual. You can get the latest travel updates from TfGM or @OfficialTfGM.

Following the attack, the government raised the UK terror threat level from severe to critical. This has now been amended to severe.

The University’s first priority is always the safety and security of staff, students and visitors to our campus.  Our Security team is available on campus 24/7 and can provide an immediate response.  

What should I report?

If you see anything that causes you concern or which you feel is suspicious, contact Security on 0161 306 9966.  This number is also on the back of your staff identity card.  

As always, in an emergency situation, contact the Police on 999 first and then inform University Security.
