Road closure information for St Patrick's Parade

The Manchester Irish Festival St Patrick’s Parade is taking place on Sunday 12 March

The Parade is a community based event with participants of all ages and bands, floats and banners representing all the Counties of Ireland.

As a result, a number of roads across the city will be affected and road closures and traffic diversions will be in operation on the day.

Sunday 12 March closures

The Parade operates on a rolling road closure and we will endeavour to keep routes closed for the minimum time it is safe for participants. Please note that the following times are approximate and may change in order to be carried out safely.

The following roads will be closed.

From 10am–1pm:

Queens Road West bound (Smedly Road - Cheetham Hill)

From 11:30am–2.30pm

Queens Road full closure (Smedly Road - Cheetham Hill)

Cheetham Hill Road (Queens Road - Miller Street)

New Bridge Street,

Great Ducie Street (New Bridge Street - Victoria Street)

Victoria Street

Deansgate (Quay Street to Victoria Bridge)

John Dalton Street

Princess Street

From 12noon-4pm:

Albert Square

Southmill Street (Peter Street - Albert Square)

Lloyd Street

Jacksons Row

Central Street

Mount Street (Peter Street - Albert Square)

Parking suspensions: All parking bays along the parade route will be suspended.
