Limited places left on February Learn to Ride Sessions

03 Feb 2017

The University is playing host to Learn to Ride cycling sessions this month, but there are a limited number of places left, so book now to avoid disappointment!

If it’s been a while since you’ve ridden a bike, or maybe you’ve never had the chance to try, Learn to Ride is the course for you. Learn to Ride courses are led by qualified instructors who look to teach the very basics of cycling, offering support and guidance at your pace.

The course takes place in a safe, off-road environment and lasts around two hours, giving you plenty of time to hone your skills… if not, you can always come back as many times as it takes!

Over two hours you’ll learn:

  • Things you should check before each ride;
  • Getting on your bike, balancing and getting off again;
  • Starting and stopping;
  • Steering your bike and stopping quickly if you need to

Bikes and helmets will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Please note that these courses are only open to adults (16+).
