Humanities Administration Green Impact team
Ground floor, Crawford House, Room G.004 - kitchen area (ex-Careers Office)
Thursday, 29 September (10am-12pm)

This coffee morning is taking place a full day ahead of the official World's Biggest Coffee Morning (on Friday, 30 September), in order to catch staff who won’t be here on Friday, and also to invite you to come and say hello!

Please pop in for a brew and some cake if you have a chance. There will also be a couple of games too (eg number of dots on the cake), so there are other ways to contribute if you don't like cake.

A huge thank you to everyone in advance. The funds raised will and do make a difference to those suffering, those who have suffered and their families. Let’s eat cake and raise as much cash as possible for the fight against cancer!!!!

Manchester Student Homes
Unit 1-3, Ladybarn House, Moseley Road, Fallowfield, M14 6ND
Friday, 30 September (10am–1pm)

Last year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning provided a great chance for people who love and care for the local communities to get together in an informal setting to discuss their work. Not only was it a good chance to meet people involved in community relations, we also managed to raise over £260 for a good cause! So this year we are doing an even bigger event in hopes to raise more money to continue the support of cancer patients. Bring a mug (and/or a yummy cake) and let’s get donating!

If you are unable to attend and still would like to support Macmillan, you can text in your donations by sending YUM 8DRX to 70550 (one text will donate £5).

Christie's Bistro
Friday, 30 September (9am to 11.30am)

In addition to its charity bake sale, Christie's Bistro will also be hosting a ‘Great Bistro Bake Off’ show stopper cake competition which will be judged by a University panel. There will be a selection of prizes for the winners, including the star prize of a Taster Menu for two at James Martin Manchester.

Christie's Bistro are keen to get as many volunteer bakers as possible. If you would like to contribute, please email Christies.Bistro@manchester.ac.uk in advance to tell them what you are baking so they can prepare labels and tables.

To enter the show stopper cake competition, simply make a WOW cake that you are happy to submit for judging. Entries should be dropped off at Christie's Bistro by 9am on Friday, 30 September and all entries will be judged at 10.30am.

If you just want to tuck in, then please bring along a box or plate so you buy as little or as much as you fancy!

Staff Learning and Development
5th Floor, Roscoe Building

So come and say hello, grab some cake or even bring a baked affair. We will have freshly ground coffee and tea so help yourself, donate and lets make a difference!

A big thank you in advance and let’s make this the biggest coffee morning ever and raise lots of money!
