IT Services

Update 1: 3.11pm on Monday 26 September

While we continue to investigate the issues with access to My Manchester for students, there are some workarounds which can be used to access University services, such as Blackboard, My Documents, Email, Student System (Campus Solutions) and more:

Students unable to access their timetables can contact their school office to find this information. The timetabling team in The Directorate of Estates and Facilities are liaising with school colleagues on this matter.

We’ll continue to keep you updated when we have more information. Our apologies for the problems with this service, and we’ll update you as soon as we have more information.

Update 2: 10:21am on Tuesday 27 September

The service remains stable at the moment, but we are continuing to closely monitor it. Activity on My Manchester for students peaks between 10am and noon - especially during the first few days of teaching - so we are keeping a very close eye on this.

Update 3: 3:59pm on Tuesday 27 September

We’ve tested and made some changes to My Manchester to improve reliability, while we diagnose the main cause of the issue.

While the situation has improved with far fewer reports today, we’re keeping a very close eye on the service to reduce the risk of another interruption. Please let us know straight away if you experience any issues:

Thank you for all your patience during this time, and we sincerely apologise to all our staff and students for any disruption.
