Communications with students in the run up to Welcome

26 Aug 2016

How the Student Communications and Marketing team is coordinating the flow of messages to students around Welcome

students

With so many different messages for students from the University, Students' Union, societies, banks - and Dominos pizza - it can be overwhelming. The Student Communications and Marketing team in the DSE has worked with departments across the University and Students' Union to bring together the most important messages for students throughout the end of August and September.

You can find these key messages on the DSE's Welcome pages.

On the Welcome pages for staff, you can also find information about the Welcome events, and AskMe.

Over the past week, students have received a number of key communications from the University, including Welcome packs delivered to the home addresses of those who have met the conditions of their offer.

We have also begun sending emails inviting students to set up their IT account, and confirm their attendance - these emails are sent in batches, and it's important that students wait to receive theirs before trying to set up an account.

After 1 September, students will be contacted to complete Registration online.

More information for students about all aspects of Welcome can be found on the Welcome website, and in the Welcome packs sent to their homes.
