Two third quartets, each 40 minutes long, but from different worlds: Camden Reeves’s virtuosic exploration of time and chaos, juxtaposed with Tchaikovsky’s sorrowful memorial for his violinist colleague at the Moscow Conservatoire, Ferdinand Laub.
