Wired network connectivity affected in some areas - resolved

11 Aug 2016

The issue below with the wired network has now been resolved.

Previous message:

A number of connectivity problems are known across the Chemistry building, so if you are based in that area and encountering difficulties with the network, IT Services know about it and are investigating.

If you are experiencing problems with network connectivity in other areas of campus, please contact the IT Support Centre:

  • IT Support Centre - 0161 306 5544 (internal extension 65544)

In order to gain a clear view of which areas are affected, the IT Analyst taking your call will need the following information from you:

  • Building name
  • Type of connectivity (wireless, wired or both)

On-going updates and notification of a full fix when found, will be posted on IT Services' Twitter account. Please follow to stay updated.
