FBMH launch - potential impact on IT systems performance

04 Aug 2016

The operation and performance of University systems may be affected by the transfer of data associated with the creation of the new Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health

The launch of the new Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH) on 1 August has involved the update and movement of significant volumes of data through the University’s IT systems.

The data migration process is currently underway, and as a result you may experience some impact on the operation and performance of various University systems while integration continues over the next few days.

In particular, records normally supplied by the Integration Service to some applications may not be appearing as expected, especially where FBMH information is included. This will apply to records either created after 1 August or records that would have become effective from that date onwards.

Specific examples include Library customers whose CRM records have been created this week not having a Library system (Alma) account; and some Organisation Spaces not appearing in Blackboard.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you in anticipation of your understanding and patience during the transitional period.
