Manchester Universities’ Choir And Orchestra Society is looking for a Director

The Manchester Universities’ Choir And Orchestra Society (CAOS) is currently looking for a new Musical Director to lead the Choir for the 2016/17 academic year, who wil be paid an annual fee of £250.

CAOS is a social, non-audition music society that exists to encourage musicians of all talents to come together, simply because they enjoy playing and performing as part of our Choir and/or our Orchestra.

Although CAOS is a society registered with The University of Manchester Students’ Union, membership is open to musicians of all ages, genders, abilities, and backgrounds, and we actively encourage members from all across the North West to join us.

Applications are open to all.

The successful applicants will receive an annual fee of £250 and will be required to attend rehearsals from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesdays during University term-time at Hulme Hall, Victoria Park.

S/he will also conduct three concerts each year, which will take place on the following dates in the 2016/17 session:

  • Christmas Concert on 10 December 2016;
  • Residential Weekend in March 2017;
  • Spring Concert in April/May 2017.
