Penny Arcade comes to Contact with Longing Lasts Longer

28 Apr 2016

Force of nature, Penny Arcade, performs her Edinburgh Fringe double award-winning show at Contact on Thursday, 26 May (8pm)

Penny Arcade

Arcade’s razor sharp satire turns on New York, as she describes the Big Apple’s cultural demise against euphoric soundscapes inspired by four decades of pop culture.

Longing Last Longer has toured worldwide and received high acclaim. Driven by her magnetic rock n’ roll energy, this is a passionate and exuberant performance anthem where you can think, laugh and dance at the same time!

Penny, New York’s undisputed queen of the underground, has worked with Andy Warhol at the Factory and performed with Patti Smith.

Presented by Contact and The University of Manchester's Sexuality Summer School 2016, in association with London Artists Projects.

‘Exhilarating, passionate…A unique voice capturing the zeitgeist of a cultural genocide’
