New temporary staffing agencies from 1 June 2016

26 Apr 2016

The recruitment agencies who can supply agency workers are changing

Managers wishing to engage an agency worker from 1 June must use the newly contracted agencies. These agencies have been awarded the contract to provide the University with agency workers through a full tender process and were chosen based on their ability to provide value for money by offering quality staff at pre-agreed rates. Key stakeholders from across PSS have been involved in the selection process.

Please note that when booking an agency worker you must always raise a valid purchase order prior to the agency worker arriving on site, in accordance with the University’s Financial Regulations and Procedures.

Transition arrangements

Agencies which are no longer contracted to supply the University after 1 June 2016 will be removed from Oracle on 31 August 2016. This means that you will not be able to raise any more purchase orders for them. However their supplier accounts will remain open for any outstanding payments to be processed until 30 November 2016.

Open day - 16 May (2–5pm) in Whitworth Hall

We are hosting an open day on 16 May from 2pm to 5pm in Whitworth Hall to give you the opportunity to meet the main contacts from the new contracted agencies and find out how they can meet your needs. We hope as many managers as possible will be able to attend.

To enable us to estimate attendance numbers please express your interest by emailing Victor.badilas@manchester.ac.uk with the subject header “Open day” by 6 May.
