Next week, the University will launch a new research information system called ‘Pure’.

Pure will replace and supplement a number of existing systems, such as eScholar, the current institutional repository for publications. In addition, Pure will provide a view of research projects, the ability to link related content and offer new CV creation functionality.

Academic researchers and staff in research support roles will automatically have access to Pure when it goes live.

Two further phases of roll-out, planned for June and August this year, will deliver additional functionality within Pure to record details of research activities including prizes and awards, public and business engagement, research impact and press clippings.

More information will be available on a new Pure support webpage next week or alternatively by contacting the Pure Support Team at pure@manchester.ac.uk.
