Hayden with her postcards and her Mum with the training pack

Hayden Larder, who has Asperger's, was commissioned by Pavilion Publishing (along with her mother Helen, Holly Turton and Dan Redfearn from Salford University) to produce a training pack called 'Understanding Autism - based on postcards from Aspie world'. It was published a few days ago.

ITV Granada Reports news covered the story in a two-minute video explaining Hayden's experiences and how the training pack and project was created.

The pack includes a boxed set of cartoon postcards, a book of ‘life stories’, a training course outline with lots of interactive exercises and a slideshow training CD. The pack is aimed at teachers, support workers, medical staff and other professionals. The boxed set of postcards will also be available separately for families and other interested individuals.
