Wood Street Mission Annual Easter Project 2016

13 Apr 2016

Helping Local Children and Families Since 1869

We are writing to pass on our sincerest thanks you for your generous donations of Easter Eggs and donations towards this year’s Easter Project. This really was a fantastic collection and Wood Street received over 950 Easter Eggs as well as financial donations this year from members of staff at the University. We would also like to thank the members of staff in Goods Receiving Sackville Street Building and the Post Room in the John Owens Building for their help in ensuring that the donations of Easter Eggs were delivered on time to Goods Receiving.

Last year over 6,000 Easter Eggs were distributed to 1,613 children all of whom are affected by poverty and they expect that number to increase over this year. Our contribution to their work really will makes a huge difference to these local families and help them to continue to offer this free help to them.  The families themselves remain very grateful for the help they receive and so it is on their behalf that Wood Street Mission thank you all for your contribution to this year’s project and continued support.

They continue to support families throughout the year with clothing parcels, baby equipment, bedding as well as offering a school uniform package at the beginning of the school year.  If you want to find out more about the work that they do, you can go to their website Wood Street Mission

If you would like to support Wood Street Mission throughout the year, join the monthly Wood Street Mission Lottery along with other colleagues in the University.
