Come to a free Introduction to Media event for researchers on Monday, 25 April 2016 (12.30pm to 4.30pm), followed by drinks and networking, at Wellcome Collection, London
With this area of research being of particular interest to the media, the direct involvement of experts is needed to ensure that the messages presented to teachers and the general public are accurate.
Hosted by the Wellcome Trust and the Education Media Centre, this event is specifically geared towards those with little or no media experience. Attendees will hear from media-experienced researchers, news journalists, science / education correspondents and press officers about the realities of the news media. It is intended as a beginner’s guide to the media, giving an insight into the way the news media works rather than intensive skills-based media training.
