Undergraduate students from all faculties were invited to submit  a 90 second film on an issue of Social Justice about which they felt passionate. Entries explored topics including equal pay, mental health, homelessness and refugees.

Nine films have been shortlisted and we would like staff to vote on their favourite. Viewing all films and voting will take less than 15 minutes.

The winning film should cover an issue of importance to students, be creative, have a clear strong message and inspire new thinking and action.

The film with the highest number of YouTube likes by 12 noon on the closing date of Tuesday, 8 March will receive a prize of £300.

You can view all of the shortlisted films online at:

Enjoy the films and  like your favourite one.

The competition is part of JustFest, the University’s Social Justice Festival which takes place on Wednesday, 9 March in and around Academy 1. Staff and students from across the University are involved in an interactive exhibition and short talks tent. There is also a main stage with music and spoken word performance, and food stalls.
