Social Media Surgery now open

20 Nov 2015

Following on from the debut of the Social Media Surgery in November, the Division of Communications and Marketing is now inviting staff across the University to book their appointments for the surgery on 14 December

Social Media Surgery

“Meeting with Tom and Jon in the Social Media Surgery was really helpful and insightful,” said Dr Jillian Yeow, Research Associate at Alliance Manchester Business School.

“They gave me suggestions that I hadn’t considered before, which allowed me to broaden the scope of our strategy and hopefully be more successful.”

The purpose of the Social Media Surgery is to give staff (both professional and academic) the opportunity to discuss a particular social media question or issue - within a professional context - with Tom Mason, Social Media Coordinator, and Jon Keighren, Social Media Manager, Division of Communications and Marketing.

Staff will be able to book a 30-minute slot where their enquiry will be discussed. Where appropriate, Tom and Jon will offer guidance and best practice on how to tackle the problem.

Booking your slot

Appointments can be booked by emailing Social Media Coordinator:

Staff are requested to include a short description of the issue for discussion and appointments will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tom is currently taking bookings for the first session to be hosted on 14 December at 2.30pm in the John Owens Building (LG020).
