Experienced scientists or engineers wanted for new HSE committee

19 Nov 2015

An opportunity to help influence how the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) conducts its scientific work

Experienced scientists or engineers are sought to provide assurance to the HSE Board about HSE’s science strategy and the scientific work that it does, as members of a new Science and Engineering Assurance Committee.

HSE is looking for applications from people who have substantial experience of leading and managing research programmes and who have wide experience of working across the scientific community in a leadership role. All members should have a high level of expertise and be recognised as leaders in their fields.

Committee members are expected to prepare for and attend up to four meetings a year and conduct one deep-dive review each year. There is an annual fee paid to members of £4,000 (plus reasonable expenses).

The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 29 December 2015.
