Reduce your environmental impact with smarter driver training

19 May 2015

Booking is now open for the next session of smarter driver training during the week commencing 6 July

In the meantime, if you do need to drive, there are a number of things you can do to reduce the environmental impact of your car:

  • Check your tyres are at the correct pressure – this helps the car run more efficiently;
  • Clear out any extra weight – are you carrying unnecessary items around in your car boot?
  • Make sure your vehicle is serviced regularly – under-serviced engines are less likely to work efficiently;
  • Don’t use air conditioning unless you really need it – using air conditioning increases fuel consumption.
