An important update on the Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme
The Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme has launched and applications are already being received. Further information about the scheme, including criteria and application deadline, can be found at: Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme.
Communications in relation to the scheme
We have started to implement the central communication plan. Here is a summary of some of things we are doing or have done so far to help inform your communication plans at a local level.
Email communication
We are sending email communications directly to the following groups of students:
- Those who registered their interest on the corporate website prior to the scheme being launched (sent on 17 March 2015) - click here to view email
- Current PGT offer holders through the E-advantage newsletter (will be sent on or around 27 March 2015)
- Final year undergraduate students who have been in receipt of a bursary (will be sent on or around 20 March 2015)
- Final year MAP students (will be sent on or around 20 March 2015)
My Manchester newsletter
There have been three articles produced for the My Manchester student newsletter (sent 27 February, 6 March and 13 March) aimed at promoting both the Postgraduate taught courses open day and the Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme to current third year finalist undergraduate students. We are also producing a follow up article to be included in the newsletter after Easter.
Printed communications
We have produced a small number of A5 flyers to be inserted into the Postgraduate taught course open day programme and to hand out at key events being held on campus. If you would like an electronic copy of the flyer, you can request one by emailing:
Corporate website
We have made some updates to the corporate website including:

We have also developed a marketing url for use on printed or digital campaigns so please feel free to use this link www.manchester.ac.uk/postgraduate-scholarship when directing students to the webpage.
Social Media
We will be posting messages on the Admissions Facebook page and the My Manchester and Admission Twitter accounts from 15 March 2015. Can social media users please keep an eye out and share or re-tweet messages?
We will be doing a small pilot using Facebook advertising to promote the scheme.
