Laughter Yoga - Places now available

18 Mar 2015

Come along and spend a lunch time de-stressing with STDU!

Laughter Yoga was developed by an Indian MD Madan Kataria. It combines techniques of Yogic breathing with laughter exercises, and increases intake of oxygen leading to various well researched physiological and health benefits.

Laughter Yoga also promotes a personal sense of wellbeing and communion with others. Laughter Yoga does not involve joke telling, comedy or enforced humour - rather participants will take part in a series of laughter and breathing exercises which stimulate the body and mind. It is recognised that the body cannot differentiate between simulated and real laughter and in most cases undertaking laughter exercises soon leads to real and contagious laughter within a group. It is also great fun.

So if you are up for a laugh please book yourself on one of the sessions via the online training catalogue

Please wear flat shoes and loose fitting clothing. The session involves some gentle stretching exercises and movement so this will enable you to feel more comfortable
