ICS Green Impact Team Meat Free Lunch

In support of Beating Bowel Cancer

The Institute of Cancer Sciences Green Impact team will be hosting a Meat Free lunch at the Lotus Vegetarian Kitchen in Withington. The team will be collecting donations for Beating Bowel Cancer as well as raising awareness of the benefits of going meat-free.

Meat Free Week runs from 23 to 29 March, so the lunch will be held on Wednesday, 25 March at 12.30pm.

Meat Free Week is an Australian campaign that encourages people to get sponsored for giving up meat for one week.

This is the first year that the campaign will run in the UK and it has already gained great support from a few big names (Jamie Oliver, Paul McCartney and Raymond Blanc to name a few).

Participants can choose to donate their sponsorship money to one of three charities.
