Have your say with politicians from the three main political parties
With the General Election just weeks away, education looks set to be a key campaigning issue. Debates to date have focused on school spending, class sizes and Academy schools. How would the parties handle these issues if elected in May?
You can discuss this – and more – with politicians from all three main political parties at the next instalment of the Manchester Education Debates, Education in England after 2015: A Political Debate.
The event – on Tuesday, 31 March, 4.30-6.30pm, in the Samuel Alexander Lecture Theatre – is organised by Policy@Manchester in collaboration with Manchester Institute of Education (MIE).
It is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served from 16:30 in the Samuel Alexander Foyer.
The speakers are Jonathan Reynolds MP for Stalybridge and Hyde (Labour) Lisa Smart, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Hazel Grove (Liberal Democrat) and Susan Williams, Baroness Williams of Trafford (Conservative).
They will present their parties’ education manifestos and debate them with a public audience.
