Inaugural 50th anniversary event for Manchester Business School

Manchester Business School (MBS) will kick off a year of 50th anniversary celebrations next month with the first of a series of lectures commemorating the work of MBS’ founding director, Professor Grigor McClelland

The lecture will be delivered by Sir George Bain, academic and former President and Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University, Belfast, at 5pm on Thursday, 29 January, at MBS.

This new series of lectures will explore the interaction between business, education and social responsibility – an area that Grigor pioneered throughout his career.

George will speak about The Future of the National Minimum Wage, alongside MBS Professor Jill Rubery who has extensive experience in the field of low pay and minimum wage policy. There will also be an opportunity for an audience Q&A session.
