Lucky three pick up their Supplier Exhibition prizes

02 Dec 2014

Following the Supplier Exhibition organised by the Central Procurement Office on 30 October 2014, three lucky members of staff collected their prizes of Lenovo tablets from Kevin Casey, the University's Head of Procurement

The prize winners were:

  • Heather Devine from the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, who won the stamp card lucky dip.
  • Stephen Birch from the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences and Jacqueline O’Callaghan from the School of Social Services, who won the day's Main Suggestion Scheme prizes for their ideas on ‘How The University of Manchester can add value to receiving goods and services by working together more effectively with staff, systems and our suppliers'.

The tablets were kindly donated by LENOVO, the manufacturer of the University's specified laptops.

All three winners were delighted with their early Christmas presents and the Central Procurement Office staff were equally delighted that the event was such a success.

Over 330 members of staff attended the day's activities, with 31 eMarketplace suppliers exhibiting their goods along with furniture4reuse and Hospitality & Events from the University demonstrating their services. All supported the event's theme, ‘working together’.
