Come along and spend a lunch time de-stressing with STDU!

28 Oct 2014

Laughter Yoga sessions open to all staff.

Laughter Yoga was developed by an Indian MD Madan Kataria. It combines techniques of Yogic breathing with laughter exercises, and increases intake of oxygen leading to various well researched physiological and health benefits. Laughter Yoga also promotes a personal sense of wellbeing and communion with others. Laughter Yoga does not involve joke telling, comedy or enforced humour - rather participants will take part in a series of laughter and breathing exercises which stimulate the body and mind. It is recognised that the body cannot differentiate between simulated and real laughter and in most cases undertaking laughter exercises soon leads to real and contagious laughter within a group. It is also great fun.

So if you are up for a laugh please book yourself on either of our two pilot sessions via the online training catalogue

If you have any problems with the booking system, please contact STDU putting 'TMS108 Laughter Yoga' in the subject line
