Uomfoodies get serious about food

Uomfoodies started with a bake off in September where staff and students donated over 40 cakes to raise money for Fareshare, a charity which helps communities to combat food poverty and food waste in and around Manchester

As well as enjoying the fun side of food, such as organising food-tasting events and staff socials, Uomfoodies aims to hold regular meetings to discuss and learn about important issues such as food waste (especially in regards to food shopping, cooking and food around campus).

We are also planning regular meetings to try out new places to eat and drink in Manchester and our first one is taking place on 3 November after work.
