Katie's run for Marie Curie Cancer Care

18 Aug 2014

Katie McCall, Events and Projects Assistant at Manchester Informatics, will be fundraising for Marie Curie Care by taking part in the Bupa Great North Run on 7 September 2014

Katie McCall

Katie is running this half marathon for Marie Curie Cancer Care because the charity has really helped her family in the past.

She said: "We lost my Dad and Grandad to cancer and the Marie Curie nurses gave us such brilliant support. They helped our family so much and delivered amazing care: I'd love to give something back to them and to say thank you.

"So many people are affected by cancer and this is a chance for me to do something about it! If just one person reads this and decides to donate to Marie Curie Cancer Care, then that will make a difference."

You can support Katie in the Great North Run by making a donation, big or small, to Marie Curie Cancer Care at:
