Call to action to have Green Impact

28 Oct 2013

The University’s Environmental Sustainability team are challenging staff and students to Think Sustainability and sign up to Green Impact by 16 December.

Green Impact

The Green Impact scheme is part of this call to action. Launched in 2008 nationally and piloted by the University, Green Impact is designed to increase awareness of sustainability and supports teams to achieve bottom-up, positive changes in their own context.

Our Green Impact teams have grown from 11 to 42 and we’re looking to increase that number even further.

It doesn’t matter what area of the University you are in or what job you do, you can form a team. You will be provided with an online workbook containing simple actions to undertake and will be fully supported by the Environmental Sustainability Team (with specialist resource for laboratory based teams). Student volunteers are also being trained to work with teams to provide extra support.

Once you have completed your workbook, you will be audited and then presented with an award at our celebration ceremony in the summer.

Sign up by Monday, 16 December to contribute to developing a more environmentally sustainable campus and campus community.
