Tai Chi course

08 Oct 2013

Every Friday from 18 October to 13 December (1-2pm) in The Sugden Centre

Tai Chi is an outstanding example of Chinese Martial Arts with over 400 years of history. When practised over an extended period of time, it has proven health benefits such as improvement of the nervous, digestive and immune systems as well as even being said to increase longevity.

This course will offer an introduction to Tai Chi and will cover the basic steps in order to form a complete routine. It will follow the traditional Chen style which combines the theory of Yin and Yang, Taoist doctrine and classical martial arts routines.

Tai Chi stimulates the mind, calms the nerves, lowers blood pressure and helps to keep you fit, so why not leave your desk or study room and join the Confucius Institute for a calming lunch break!

Cost

  • £20 for a nine-week course
