To mark the 50th anniversary of its original opening, we will be redeveloping our Vivarium (Live Animals) gallery. The new gallery will look at themes such as human impact on the natural world (rainforest biodiversity and deforestation), local and global reptiles and amphibians, how humans help these animals and how these animals help humans. The new Vivarium will provide even better displays, enhanced interpretation, and reveal more of the important conservation work that takes place behind the scenes. It will reopen on Saturday 26th October with a ‘World of Frogs’ Big Saturday.

During this time there will also be no lift access to Nature's Library. For more info on our Vivarium, check out our Frog Blog Manchester.
