Temporary exhibition at Manchester Museum by artist, Tracey Walshaw

Opens 8 July

An exploration of the kidney transplant experience.

The celebrated works of artist Tracey Walshaw are unveiled to the public in conjunction with National Transplant Week.

The 53-year-old kidney transplant patient hopes her portrayal of the harrowing process which saved her life will raise awareness about the importance of organ donation.

At the Museum during Transplant Week (8-13 July) between 11.30 –2.30pm Tracey, other kidney transplant patients, members of the Transplant Team, specialist staff and Irene Chambers will be on hand to talk to visitors about kidney organ donation.

The exhibition at Manchester Museum has been organised by charity Kidneys For Life, which raises funds for the Manchester Institute of Nephrology & Transplantation (MINT) at Manchester Royal Infirmary Renal Units and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
