Manchester Minute Microlectures: free event highlighting biomedical research

15 May 2013

On 16 May 2013 (7pm) at Manchester Museum.

The next M-cubed event (Manchester Minute Microlectures) will be held this Thursday evening at Manchester Museum. Six biomedical researchers will share their enthusiasm and expertise by giving a pitch about their work in just one minute.

Talks start at 7pm and will be followed by refreshments, so join us to meet some inspiring people and hear about some incredible research. There are many other exciting activities happening at the Museum that evening for the ‘After Hours’ event, with various artists presenting around the galleries.

Find us next to the ‘Living World’ exhibition on the first floor.

Suitable for anyone aged 14 and over.

This project builds upon a successful model pioneered by American universities. Researchers give their microlecture in a public space and it is filmed so people can also watch the short talks online. M-cubed is funded by the Wellcome Trust and Nowgen is one of the organisers, so these talks are all on biomedical themes.
