As early adopters, the Library has been scheduled to be switched over to Office 365 on Monday 9 March. This will happen during the evening on Sunday, 8 March. During this time, you will not be able to access your email or calendar.

Office 365 has a lot of new functionality which will make it easier for you to work. Collaboration and file sharing is much easier, Outlook Web App is greatly improved (especially on mobile devices), and the web-based versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more mean that you can work on your files on any web browser; you don’t need to have the software installed.

You will have access to OneDrive for Business, which gives you easy access to your files wherever you are and a significantly increased amount of file storage space.

All staff must adhere to the Information Governance Office’s sharing and storing information guidelines.

You will also have access to Microsoft Teams, where you can chat, hold online meetings, share files and easily collaborate with colleagues.

As part of this activity, any email more than three years old will be moved into a separate folder named Archive and will still be accessible.

Keep this page bookmarked for when your account has been transferred:

If you have any questions about the transfer in the meantime, please email Ciaran Talbot.
