Library Staff to be amongst first to migrate to Office 365

The Library will work closely with IT Services to ensure the roll out is as smooth as possible

As part of the University’s IT Modernisation programme all University staff will be migrating to Microsoft Office 365* over the coming year. As a subset of The University of Manchester we, the Library, are already using Windows 10 devices, and actively undertake the kinds of collaboration that Office 365 will further enable.

The Library will continue to lead the University’s digital transformation, with Library staff amongst the first people to be migrated early this year. We are working closely with IT Services to ensure we have a clear idea of what support, communications and engagement will be needed from the Library to manage the roll out.

In the meantime, we suggest you familiarise yourself with the office 365 guides and resources.

In preparation of the migration we will be;

• sending update emails
• organising in-person events to ensure all staff have the opportunity to ask questions and get prepared
• communicating a timeline to staff as soon as we have one confirmed
