Working with items imported from the US
US export legislation applies extraterritorially. As such, if an item (physical good or information, data) you’re working with was imported from the US and you’ve been informed that it falls under US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Fill in and submit an Export Controls Compliance request (online form) with the Regulatory Compliance Team
The team will advise on the appropriate controls required to be put in place to enable your research project to continue and provide assurance to the US that the University (and yourself) is complying with their Export legislation.
