Unconscious Bias Training
We have an online resource covering Unconscious Bias (CUBIAS19). This module takes you through definitions, examples and different scenarios all around the theme of 'Unconscious Bias'. The videos and content will help you to identify what discrimination and bias looks like and the steps you can take in eliminating these. The content covers examples relating to many of the protected charateristics including age, disability, race and ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender.
This training is mandatory for anyone who sits on any interview panel as part of their University role.
It takes around 60 minutes to fully complete and does require speakers or headphones for parts of the module. You can access this training here:
You will be required to log in using your normal University user name and password and this will be recorded on yout training record.
The training was updated in July 2020 and is delivered through RISE - if needed, the zoom function in your brower will work well at 200% on this platform.
Face to Face Training
We have recently launched some workshops with Staff Learning and Development. Please note training hours will be 3.5 hours plus pre-work.
