Unconscious Bias Training

Online Training

We have an online resource covering Unconscious Bias. This module takes you through definitions, examples and different scenarios all around the theme of 'Unconscious Bias'.  The videos and content will help you to identify what discrimination and bias looks like and the steps you can take in eliminating these.  The content covers examples relating to many of the protected charateristics including age, disability, race and ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender.

This training is mandatory for anyone who sits on any interview panel as part of their University role.

It takes around 90 minutes to fully complete and does require speakers or headphones for parts of the module. You can access this training here:

You will be required to log in using your normal University user name and password - this is so we can monitor uptake in different areas.

**March 2019 UPDATE - we have been alerted to the fact that this training may not function fully when using a Mac or with Firefox and Chrome browsers --we therefore advise completing in Internet Explorer or ensure that your browswer is up to date**
