LGBT History Month 2021

Official logo for LGBTHM 2021

February is LGBT History Month

We have marked LGBT History Month at the Univerity every year since 2010.

Our programme of events in 2021 may take on a slightly different format, nonetheless we'll still be ensuring we have a varied selection of things to participate in which represent our LGBTQ+ spectrum.

We'll be looking at the month through the lens of Mind, Body and Spirit as the theme for the month, but also how we can highlight the vast intersectionalities within our own LGBTQ+ community.  Read our data Blog on the subject here

Events

1 February: ALL DAY - we're launching the month by asking as many people as possible to update their pronouns on their signatures and Zoom screens.  Find out why it's important: Staff Communications.

8 February: LGBT+ film shorts - join us for a selection of film shorts looking at different intersectionalites of the LGBT+ spectrum. Message us for the zoom link

10 February: SPORT goes rainbow!  To show support to LGBT colleagues, all attendees at online SPORT events will be encouraged to 'rainbow up'!  See all classes here: Active Anywhere
