AbilityNet training library

The University has partnered with AbilityNet to provide role-based digital accessibility training for staff.

These workshops support colleagues in embedding inclusive practice across digital content, systems and services.

The training forms part of the University’s ongoing commitment to improving accessibility and maintaining high standards across our digital platforms.

Video workshops

Workshops are delivered as captioned videos hosted on the University’s video streaming portal. University login is required to access the content.

PowerPoint slideshows are available for selected workshops. Slides can be viewed in Microsoft 365, a local installation of PowerPoint, or downloaded for use in other compatible applications.

Foundations

Understand the legal and regulatory context for digital accessibility in higher education.

This workshop explains the legislation that applies to the University and outlines institutional responsibilities.

Design and delivery

Develop practical knowledge for designing, building and reviewing accessible digital content and services.

These workshops focus on applying accessibility principles in day-to-day digital work.

Leadership and governance

Embed accessibility into planning, decision-making and procurement processes.

These workshops support staff with responsibility for oversight, risk management and supplier engagement.

Guidelines

These best practice guidelines ensure accessibility is designed into digital development from content creation to system procurement.

Guidelines are only available in Portable Document Format (PDF). To view the PDF's Microsoft 365 or a PDF reader is required.
