Wellbeing champions help to bring wellbeing to everyone

Give

Wellbeing champions help spread awareness of wellbeing and our six ways to wellbeing, as well as the wide range of wellbeing opportunities here at the University.

So far Wellbeing Champions have been involved with training staff and managers, promotional campaigns and charity activities.  Champion-led activities have included an online book club, Crafternoon and MacMillan online coffee morning.

Gemma Dale, Wellbeing and Engagement Manager, said: “Our Wellbeing champion team play a key role in promoting the importance of wellbeing across the University and making wellbeing part of an everyday conversation. Our Champion team is currently under represented with male champions and we’d love to make the team more inclusive. We’d also like to encourage more academic colleagues to join us too."

During the next few months Wellbeing champions will be  continuing to help us share information about wellbeing and how employees can get support during this difficult time, as well as helping to support a new campaign launching later this year to raise awareness of mental health across the University.
